Real Life Recovery is a recovery home based in Santa Cruz, California. We work to help restore, build, and unify the lives of addicts looking to make a change in their lives. Real Life Recovery is centered around creating a safe and structured living environment for individuals struggling with substance abuse.
We offer a peer led, communal living experience for those ready to learn effective strategies of cohabitation, conflict resolution, base level living skills, and coping tools for addiction. The client’s served are those that are houseless individuals, people coming out of institutions (jail, prison, treatment centers), and any struggling with substance use disorder and are needing safety and structure in a contained space.

RATES

Alamo House rent is a monthly rate of $800. There is also a one time non-refundable processing fee of $200. For clients that move in outside of the first of the month, we will prorate their rent. The Pro-rated cost is $27 per day. In some cases we will scholarship residents for a period of time while they look for employment.

Rent is due on the first of every month.
Partial rent paid on a weekly basis can be accepted in the rebuilding phase for new clients.
Late rent will result in revocation of privileges
Rent is accepted with Cash, Check, Cashapp, PayPal, and Zelle
Rent is Non-Refundable.

My transition from incarceration, to treatment… to freedom was intimidating and daunting… I feel incredibly grateful that this endeavor was both supported and appreciated by the management team at Alamo house. I was gifted the opportunity to have structural freedom… surrounded by other men who wanted and were willing to change. I was able to make mistakes.. learn and grow under the guidance of men I trusted and who had already traveled similar paths on their route to recovery. I have sustained lasting relationships with and through this experience with alumni and staff.. and gathered 3-1/2 years clean and sober built on the backbone and significance of my Alamo house partnership.
